Well, it’s the last unofficial weekend of summer, which means that my vacation is almost over! Sad panda. But does that mean I can break out my Pumpkin Caramel Latte candle tomorrow?
So yes, I was on vacation this week! It was pretty amazing, I’m not going to lie. Beach, lobster, major relaxing? Check, check, check. Color-changing manicure? CHECK.
Utter relaxation, fo’ sho’.
Tuesday was a picture perfect beach today. We got sunburnt!
Only in Maine!
The magic hour
Our Christmas card this year?
Best. Ice. Cream. Ever.
Amazingly, I was up for sunrise every morning. I guess my biological clock is changing? I always needed an alarm to get up that early. That didn’t stop me from going back to bed afterwards, though!
Sadly, that sunrise gave way to this:
We lasted about two hours on the beach before heading back.
We had a fantastic early dinner at the Black Birch. The deviled eggs and lamb meatballs were amazing, but honestly my favorite were these black pepper doughnuts. Mmmmmm.
I already miss Maine.
Friday night, my mom and I headed over to South Hadley for a MHC orientation program – the firsties’ first M&Cs! It was insane, there were hundreds of young women waiting to get into the library! At least they let the alums cut the line.
Fancy new Chihuly sculpture in the lobby!
I’ve been spending the weekend trying to catch up on my sewing WIPs.
And starting 5k training again!
Anyways, Happy September!
(Thanks, Kim, for your comment!)
Sorry this was so picture heavy! I honestly tried to cut down.
No, actually, I’m not sorry.
